Unfortunately, human nature has these two facts in direct opposition:

 

  1. We seek to find the path of least resistance when focused on profit and such. (Monke want most banana with least work)
  2. We seek to do something significant, which also usually means it is challenging (Monke want to be seen as bestest or strongest Monke)

 

We see this in the state of territories because, though people want to claim territories and the prestige that comes with them (because, by and large, that's all you get out of territories. Prestige) they rarely want to rock the boat so hard and fight desperately over small patches of land that give 25-50 respect a day, less than running a level 2-3 OC.)

 

Until something changes (and I think the new DB changes are a good start) territory wars will remain largely static.

I also heard my crashout was pretty ugly, the speculation in Monarch leadership channel was quite the read when I was there, Chromatic had a whiff of it in an attempt to stop me joining Catalysis allegedly (I wasn't going to cata originally), was in ODB Discord. It was quite an out of body experience reading my own actions from a narrative that wasn't my own. But, alas, it was my choice to leave and I truly think I'm better for it. But despite the ugly crashout I think I'm still on good terms with most of TNL, took a bit to make up with Andrew though as we both said some hurtful things.

 

Let's talk about you though! The Swiss Squad refugee. Came to TNL, absolutely f**king DESPISED Monarch. To the point where you even left TNL back to Swiss Squad just because we were allied with them! Needed convincing to even come back. Even overpaid you in my company, just to find out in the middle of a war you were bountying another employee because they were inactive or something. You'd pick a fight with me one day, insulting me, then the next I would wake up to a dissertation apologising for your actions. Just for it to happen again a few days later. 

 

And after all that, you end up in Monarch. Better love story than twilight. 

 

PS: If you mean crashing out over the feds? Nah. I'm not even in the TNL discord.

Aquagloop had gathered data so he could tell his side of the story, but, rightly or wrongly, I counseled him not to post it. When Aqua was instead put into 30-day fed, his greatest lament was that he never got to speak up.

 

It's 30 days, he can drop the details when he comes back... Or pull a SHATNL and make a Google sheets doc.

 

Personally, I don't think any of the people involved truly understood they were breaking the rules

 

Strongly disagree on this one. Every other major scripter noped out of touching websockets, but the noob scripter (with a history of not understanding the rules) did not? Come on, there's only so much deniability that is plausible.

270 day old account gets to make a illegal script and sell it but gets to keep his account while people with 16 year old accounts get permed for the script maker not knowing what he was doing?

 

Is there something I'm missing here?

I agree with you that Aqua needs to be updated to perma. But script users can't claim ignorance. You need to know what's in your scripts and not take people's word for it. The only person putting your account at risk is you.

Aquagloop is a piece of shit scammer/cheater. TNL are better off not being associated with a faction that would keep them.

All this faction drama has just been insane since I came back to torn almost 4 years ago now. 

 

Some of my friends are in TNL but I am thankful none of them were in B3 at the time that shit happened there. People need to realize this is  just a game and you don't need to be a shithead to others or use scripts to gain a competitive advantage.

Pretty much but i'm still not sure how people trusted a sub 1yr old account to make an already iffy sounding script with alot of gray area really should make you question it a lil harder espically how old some of these players are...... prehap they themselves were under duress?
