It has been a considerable amount of time since Missions, Mission Rewards, and Weapon Attachments were last expanded or meaningfully updated. I believe the time is right for a comprehensive overhaul of this feature to enhance player engagement and overall game experience.
Mission System Expansion
A strong first step would be introducing additional Mission Providers. Since the initial release of Missions, the community has been anticipating more mission givers, and delivering them alongside a broader system update would serve as a valuable quality-of-life improvement.
Each new Mission Provider could offer a distinct reward pool. For example:
-
One provider could specialize in consumables such as Candy, Beer, and Cans.
-
Another could focus on OC-required items.
-
A higher-tier provider could offer Boosters, Donator Packs, or Enhancers at a premium Mission Credit cost.
Unlocking advanced Mission Providers at the Expert level would create a rewarding progression path, with increasingly valuable rewards available as players advance.
Expanded Attachments & Melee Upgrades
The current system lacks meaningful expansion in attachments—particularly for melee weapons. Introducing melee upgrades such as:
-
Sharpening Stones to slightly increase base damage or critical hit damage,
-
Enhanced Grips to improve accuracy or handling,
would add depth and customization options that players have been waiting for. Notably, there is still no dedicated melee weapon upgrade available, which feels like a missed opportunity within the current system.
Additionally, expanding the number of Weapon Attachments and introducing new “Special” modifiers for attachments would reinvigorate the feature and encourage continued participation in Missions.
Merit & Progression Improvements
To further incentivize engagement, new Merit milestones could be introduced, such as:
-
50 Attachments Owned,
-
Missions Completed,
-
Mission Credits Earned,
-
Items Purchased with Mission Credits.
The point requirements for certain Merits could also be reviewed and adjusted to better align with current gameplay pacing.
Rotation & Special Offers
The rotation schedule for special attachment offers appears to have stagnated. Reducing the rotation cycle from 7 days to 3 days would keep the system feeling fresh and dynamic. Many players have not seen a Special Offer in quite some time, and a faster rotation would significantly improve engagement.
Overall, regardless of the exact implementation details, the Missions system is overdue for a meaningful update. Expanding Mission Providers, attachments, rewards, and progression milestones would breathe new life into the feature and deliver an update the community has been anticipating for years.
This type of overhaul would not only modernize the system but also reinforce long-term player investment and satisfaction.
