This is not a big issue and is likely a by-product of unintended playstyle - I'm just reporting here just in case it relates to something that does need fixing though!
Dear arbiter of Torn, I hope this message finds you well
I, the Shadow Sentinel, the true and just self-proclaimed protector of Torn City, recently had the displeasure of speaking to George, and was shocked and appalled when he offered me the mission 'Criminal Methods'. The wretch wanted me to commit crimes on his behalf!
Apparently George didn't realise he was talking to Torn's highest level law abiding citizen!
853 days drug and crime free, like all good citizens of Torn should be!
I sat George down and told him what he was asking me to do was illegal, and that he should rethink his path in life. He just responded by burping and wandering off, but I like to think he'll consider what I said.
Amidst all this, something caught my eye - on George's mission screen, it shows the task 'Successfully shoplift some sweets' as having being completed.
I can promise you I've never done anything so vile of the sort. The Shadow Sentinel wouldn't say boo to a goose, never mind shoplift from a genuine tax paying Torn citizen. Or shoplift from a non-taxpaying one either, really. However, I would report them for tax fraud. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Anyway, to get to the point, the potential bug:
- 'Successfully shoplift some sweets' is showing as a completed task, despite me having never shoplifted or done any other crimes
While the bug doesn't negatively affect me, I wanted to bring it to your attention in case it highlighted that the condition logic was incorrectly tracking against something else - I'm not sure what that would be as I've never done any other crimes either.
I have bought from the sweet shop though as a proper legal customer, so maybe that was enough to tick it off?
I'm also still on Crimes 1.0 (as I literally cannot access the screen to migrate to Crimes 2.0 because it tells me I need to complete the tutorial), so I'm not sure if it might also relate to this.
On top of this, can I ask is George's tutorial a prerequisite to missions as a whole? The Wiki simply says level 5 is required for Duke, with no mention of the tutorial missions, but I haven't unlocked any additional missions after reaching level 5. If that is the case, is there any way to skip or 'time out' the Criminal Methods mission so that us law abiding citizens can continue onto the next missions without resorting to illegal methods? Some of us have to set a good example to the people of Torn, you know.
Thank you for your service, arbiter of Torn, and I hope you have a safe and entirely legal day
The Shadow Sentinel
