Faction image scale issue

Currently, faction image is 600 x 150 pixels!

 

If someone try to change it, he reads this: "You may want to resize the image to 400x100, this will make the image look much clearer."

 

This is bug, because it's not true ... and in fact image is scaled, compression rip image off ... and everything looks as bad as it can be.

Anyway ... the "Hell Inc." is not visible ... and the uploaded image to system is scaled, with changed compression ... basically fuuuucked up!

Can you provide the original image that you are trying to upload?

 

Currently, faction image is 600 x 150 pixels!

 

Also where does it say this?

Since I always do images exactly the size they show ... back in time faction image was really 400 x 100 ... Around April 2025 I realize it's 600 x 150 ...

As far as Faction description image ... back in time it was 750 x 500 pixels. Around 2025 it become 1125 x 750.

 

I use same PC and monitor and everything for last 6 years.

I realize that after the images start to blur, and image details start to disappear.

The faction banner needs to be 400 x 100, it is mentioned on the faction settings panel too. The system will not allow you to upload the image if it is not of this dimension.

 

 

You can use your external tools to re-size your banner, the quality will not be changed if you simply upload the banner of the exact size requirement.

Who scaled it to 600x150? I am not sure I am following what you are saying here. Torn does not scale the images that you are trying to upload to be your faction banner. The banner size requirement has always been 400x100, it was never changed.

I know people have hard time to follow what people say.

 

That's why I put pictures. Everything it's seen very clearly in them - original images ... how they are crisp and everything is o.k.

 

And what the system do to them.

 

P.S. ... also there are shift of colors ... but will not bother you with that.

You will have to use external tools to create "crisp" images with 400x100 dimensions and then upload them to Torn. There won't be any loss in quality if you upload the image with the exact dimensions. If your tool is making the picture lose quality when you change the dimensions, then it is not for Torn to fix.

i think you have your faction page zoomed in on your browser, hence it is appearing to you at 600x150. it is 400x100 in my browser. if I set my browser to 150% zoom it grows to 600x150.
