I wanna draw attention to some issue I notice for some time. The news article is always a bit late for "events".
For example. most factions provide a 48 hour booster cooldown, when the newspaper is your only source of information you will miss out, when the "news" comes out 24 hours before the event.
Currently the "Employee Appreciation Day". No director has the chance to save up trains for his hard working staff.
Yeah if only it was i mentioned in the paper like 5 days ago!
If only there was some kind of....calendar? That told you everything you need to know to prepare

Not only directors but all players have something called a calendar provided in-game; normally it is used to plan ahead of events!
There is no need to upgrade anything.
Good news! There is a calendar, which if you reference once or so a year, gives you a year heads up! FTNP if they cant figure out how a calendar works.

Honestly, the timing of their articles about Torn City events have always been good.
It was very timely during my first year are as a noob. But since its my 2nd year, I only check it now if there are some new or added information.
Checking that calendar is tedious.

Depending on your financial situation it may be easier to simply hire someone to brief you every morning on the calendar situation.
To be fair to the news, the calendar shows all of the upcoming events.
