Ghost trades ... you start a trade with a friens , dont accept and it will temp shield your money
Faction bank- you might be referring to the bank as cayman and dont want to waste an hour...but some fsctions have banks that some of ur faction members can send you while travelling... only if you trust the ppl befause faction leaders/members can steal your money

Stock market is where I would put it, as you can pull it out anytime and it can't be mugged. Faction banks have the inherit risk of vault thieves which you have no control over and you have to wait for a faction banker to send you back the money.
But if you can't afford that then either ghost trades as mentioned already or bid on a bunch of stuff on the auction house. Once someone outbids you on the auction house, you'll get refunded with a check from the bank which you can withdraw whenever you are ready to use it. But the bank checks expire I think and by expire I mean automatically deposited into your wallet if you don't reclaim it after 24 hours or something.
Ghost trades expire after 6 hours, while bank checks are longer than that (I don't remember)
Only money can be mugged so buy something, anything. Stocks, beers, points, anything. If you buys some stuff for less than the game vendors buy it back for, you can actually make a small profit but that takes more time than just buying 34521 beers.
