jesus, I didn't realize how many people in torn city are this averse to having a little fun. talking about "well actually it doesn't imply anything about Duke's gender" blah blah blah.
let me set the record straight:
duke is not nonbinary. because duke isn't a real person.
my friends and i were just having a bit of fun noticing duke being referred to with the word they. just like the game does when you have your gender marker set to nonbinary.
apparently some gay people having fun in a video game and pretending for a moment that an NPC is gender nonconforming warrants making insults and personal attacks against a stranger.
and some of you wonder why someone would feel the need to create a faction that is by AND FOR queer people? LOL

About all you were called out for personally was your arrogance and minor narcissism. I personally believe this was an ill thought out attempt at advertising your faction, but sure, playing the victim and engaging in hyperbole is an attention- seeking strategy that may work for you to recruit faction members.

obviously im talking about the couple of comments where people who know nothing about me are being jerks for no reason (ie. claiming that i have no personality and that I'm vain because my faction description). i don't care about the nerds who dont understand singular they. and im engaging with the people's comments who are having fun with me. im not playing victim to anything. victim of what? boring people making assumptions about me? oh no! im making fun of the people who take everything too serious. and again (even though this has nothing to do with my post at all) I'd love to know which other factions in this game are specifically made FOR queer people BY queer people. because none of us ever found any. not sure whats arrogant about having a mission statement. lastly, if i wanted to make an advertisement for my faction, I'd do so in the appropriate forum.... like i and other members already have in the past. but it hasn't been necessary any more than that because any queer people who try finding a faction like ours are going to find only ours. we don't do active recruiting.

Well, no. Their description has some awkward phrasing due to a poorly-placed comma that makes it seem like they claim they're the only faction with queer leadership, but they do explicitly mention being a faction for both queer people and allies.
