Yes - quite normal
Don't advertise yourself as an easy mark. You can protect yourself selling om the open market by self hosping (make sure your revives are off). You can trade through a trader for less profits but also less risk of mugging. Donator packs can also be sold directly to the system for 23,5m without going through any player at all.

- while in hosp open trade with trusted friend
- exit hospital
- let the muggers mug and get nothing
- wait an hr or two
- cancel trade
- bank money

7 year old account, level 12 novice, doesn't play the game, buys dps for in game cash, doesn't know how to self hosp, why should we care about your opinion?
First donator pack I ever bought, got robbed going between the pawn shop and vault. Doesn't happen as much nowadays (getting robbed in general.)
Conspiracy theorists (not me) would of course say: "they bought a Don.pack, got robbed, then went and bought another one. Must be here to stay..."
