I have a friend who asked me if he would get more eggs because he hasn't played in 2 years, so do inactive players get more eggs, or do you need to be active to be able to get your previous eggs?

No, it's the same as city finds. You need to be active for eggs to spawn.

Does anyone know how many days before Easter someone would have had to be on for eggs to Spawn or will they start spawning as soon as an inactive player logs in during the event?
I was inactive until today but found 2 eggs
