Checking pages for eggs, I can across CT page and found i was not only able to walk around but also have an off-season chat with Santa just to have my gifts taken away (to be expected). Also found present chests, which also had the prizes taken from me. I might keep walking to see if I can collect some free keys 👌

This is normal - it is available all year round but you cannot get anything from it.

It is how players can work on their maps ready for Christmas.

Christmas Town is open all throughout the year for editors to work on their maps. You won't get credited any rewards when the Christmas Town event is not running, you can roam around all you want. Eggs also don't spawn on pages like Christmas Town which is not open right now.
