Yes we know that is what was written in this years newspaper. We just don't know WHEN it became 11, or if in fact it really did... The newspaper told us something different when the event was launched (in 2023) …

does it also include the eggs you didn't get last season?
you get 11 new egg spawns each year and iirc eggs from previous years have their location rerolled
got 10 already
I know the wiki says that, but I have never seen the limit posted anywhere, and the wiki gives no source
Edit: I only remember seeing just one post back when the new event was released that said there was a chance to spawn for each player at set intervals, and giving an "average across all players" being a certain amount, which may have been 11...
Edit 2: From the "post event" article in 2023 when it first launched, the average spawned eggs per player was just under 14. Definitely not 11.

Previous year article might have included also past year spawns. Current leader board is 43. Max for 4 year event is 44. If it will be more then we know it is not 11 per year.
In the very first year of the event, when there were no "past year spawns", 71 people found 12 eggs and that number above about the "nearly 14 eggs" also comes directly from the stats of that first year.

But yeah, either the mechanics changed at some point after the first year, or the 11 is incorrect.
All this info was in the newspaper it's 11 each year whatever you miss from previous years will spawn with current years 11

I just read a wiki article on it also not all the eggs will be spawned rt away but 12:30 4/7/26 all eggs will be spawned and active for 24 hours before the event ends
The wiki is updated by players, based on what they see in-game.
But yes, the last 24 hours of the event is purely " egg collecting" time, no extra eggs will spawn in that time :)

It means if i was inactive for 3.5 years and now started play , i can collect 44 instead of 11? xd
