Iran recruits 12 year-olds

Iran is recruiting 12-15 year olds for combat or combat-adjacent positions. Not necessarily front lines, but they will be manning posts, and carrying guns.

This shows that the IRGC does not have nearly as widespread support as some would like us to believe, if they are handing guns to 12-year olds.

One question is how much of the more traditional 18-45 demographic is deserting, surrendering, or refusing to serve a corrupt, civilian massacring, occupying, colonizing, theocratic repressive government that is also bombing the Muslim Gulf States ... and how many 18-45 year-olds were killed during Iran's massacring of its own civilians?

It is difficult to know, because the crimes against humanity committing IRGC instituted a complete internet blackout while it was massacring its own civilians yet again, but one thing we do know is that their support was so low that they imported militias from Iraq to mow civilians down with truck-mounted machine guns. 

Edit: I've seen Trump has said some truly deranged shit about wiping out a civilization. The info I shared above is, I think, very newsworthy as to the character of the IRGC, but posted with poor timing relative to Trump's statements. This is not meant in any way to justify that deplorable statement or any action backing it up. I think the fault for the 12 year olds enlisting is with the adults who raised them, not with the kids themselves, but none of it warrants collective punishment of the citizens of Iran, regardless of which political party they support.

I don’t like when men die, but “women and children” does always hit harder for some reason, and it hits even harder when who are children to the West are active combatants elsewhere. 

I hate for Iran that everyone is saying the IRGC is dead but they won’t lie down, and that even more Iranians are having to die for it. May the lions rise up and choose the future they want, absolutely heartbroken for *almost* everyone involved. 

Definitely some textbook terrorist behaviour. Especially with the way bombs are flying at the moment I hope for their safety as much as possible. These people will do whatever they need to survive, and the everyday people are the ones that will suffer with no productive end in sight.

It does seem odd Iran would be recruiting 12 year olds when they have not lost all that many soldiers. Air strikes have taken out tons of equipment and disabled bases and other assets, but it's hard to significantly depopulate an army solely with air power. Estimates are a thousand or two total deaths when Iran has tens of thousands of troops.

Iran has somewhere between 600k to 1.5m soldiers. They don't need children doing anything for them. 

There is a video about a child talking with Khamenei saying he wants to become a martyr but Khamenei tells him to grow up and become a doctor or a scientist or something and when he is 80 years old, he can then start thinking about becoming a martyr. 

They have more than enough soldiers. And I am not talking about the civilians who will join the army when push comes to shove. If push comes to shove. 

No matter the reason, it does not serve the children right. It's actually terrible, though you wouldn't care, as you encourage other people to become martyrs from the safety of your couch in your apartheid state.

Look, I know it makes you feel heroic to argue with me on Torn Dot Com P&L forums, but can we at least agree that recruiting children under 15 in violation of international law is bad, regardless of religion? You could have used google yourself to see all these links.

PS: I am not calling this a lie. I am not refuting Rahim Nadali's words. I am asking you, just like the last time you quoted Khamenei saying that he wants to destroy Israel in his book, what if this is being used as tool to manufacture the same shit you've been repackaging as "self defense"?

My longer term concern would be that the IRGC is known to indoctrinate kids from a young age, but militarising them is a massive escalation. These children will grow up even more radicalised than the current generation. 

Combine that with Trump legitimising the Iranian regimes claims it needs to defend itself from America, and if this ceasefire holds it further legitimises the Iranian Regime as they will show they can defend Iran from unprovoked attacks from the west. 

TLDR - I don’t see any of this as good news for a stable ME

2.5 years? The original war lasted 66 days, give or take, yet Israel continued to violate the cease fire terms on all fronts for 15 months. And attacked Iran TWICE during that period.

It's pretty messed up and immoral if the IRGC are now using child soldiers - though I'm not sure how believable the concern about it is coming from people who supported the worlds leader in killing children for the past few years
