since he can't take credit for re-opening the Strait of Hormuz, Trump takes blame for keeping it closed instead, you can now blame Trump instead of Iran for the rising gas prices. When the stock market opens Monday, some people will earn some serious cash from short selling.

Sounds like he is going to fight fire with fire against Iran. Iran is trying to make money so it can continue to bomb and kill civilians. Trump decided to block the ships giving terrorist money to commit more terrorism.

Iran wasn't bombing anyone, it wasn't blocking the Strait of Hormuz, what it did was engaging in negotiations, interrupted by Trump bombing them.

Since Iran was incapable of re-opening the Strait because they decided to attack commercial vessels and lay mines and they have no idea where they laid the mines, we went in and cleared a lane through the mines and we're offering safe passage to everyone...

Nothing has changed in terms of Iran's capabilities to stop traffic in the strait. It wasn't just mines, the threat of missiles and drones flying into the Strait is sufficient to deter most ships from risking passage. I'll wait to actually see if any ships actually pass through.

Like Windy said, Iran capabilities is beyond just laying mines. Most commercial ships are currently not interested in going through with the threat of drones and missiles still existing.
