Hey everyone, quick question—how does merc work pay usually work in factions? Is it per hit, based on war pay, or just equal share with no bonuses?

Robbo [1826175]

the cost is depending on what you're after or what you're offering

if you need war support, things like 24hr coverage, stricken hits, short notice mass hosps if you win a push or something or anything specific you'll be paying top dollar

if you just need a bunch of hosps it can be as low as 1 mil

don't pay an elite merc service for something any old peasant with some stats can do, but don't expect a merc service charging 1 mil a hit to support you through a ranked war and be at your beck and call for its entirety

This question sounds a lot like he's asking about the kind of merc work that involves guesting for someone else's RW as a higher stats player, rather than what everyone answering is assuming (outsiders doing hits on offliners or hostile hits, or similar). There's no one-size fits all in terms of guesting to help someone's RW - some leaders pay people a flat fee for this, some will offer a cut of the total war income, some pay a per hit rate that is higher than their normal members', and others don't pay a guest any differently from normal members. It mostly depends if you are offering some crazy benefit to the faction (e.g. massive stats, great loadout, great activity) and they are offering no benefit to you, i.e. visiting them is not something anyone higher stats would be interested in doing without an incentive.

If you do actually mean more tradtional merc work, like, a faction paying you to hosp their offliners in war, or someone paying you to permahosp someone they don't like, it's usually paid per hit, and varies among the bigger merc services between $2.5m to 4m a hit.

I might be wrong, but I think it depends on the type of merc work.

RW guesting seems more flexible (flat pay, per hit, or war cut), while normal merc stuff is usually per hit. Not 100% sure though.
