edit: the first line was funnier when i assumed that the op was also a dude
If you insist on fighting you'll lose any fight you take to them lol, you'll be sacrificing billions, a lot of hosp time (which admittedly is easy to get around), and any hope to join a player company or decent faction (which will cost billiions in rehab increases long-term, unless you're sitting in your own high res shell)
You can put bounties on everyone in their companies to leave (if directors) or pay the director to boot them (if emp), this should be at most 600m/day if you put 10 1m bounties on everyone in a maxed oil rig (biggest comp :P) using a bounty service but more likely you're looking at 100m/day/company (most big players proxy multiple comps so you'd have to take that into account lol
You can try that with factions too but facs tend to be much more tight knit and you'll be fighting an uphill battle :P though you can try to raid them down, buy mercs and join a burner fac and raid until they 0 you, rinse and repeat (depends who you're after and who/how many you hire can be expensive obviously lol) - this may only seem like a small annoyance to them at first but if you're persistent maybe you'll get newspaper attention ;) probably looking at ~10b/month? depends how many mercs you hire and how your pay structure is lol
You can obviously use BHG or similar to put high bounties on them, though again depending on who you're targeting you may need 1.5-2m+ bounties for them to get consistently hit (and bounties/hosp time is easy to play around lol, sometimes even benificial)
Flight Delays and embargos are useful, esp in tandem (nobody likes longer rehab trips :P), but hitting an embargo on their way back from rehab would also be rude, I haven't checked the price of these lately so you'd have to do your own research there lol
Either way, bear in mind that they'll almost for sure know its coming from you (esp now that this post exists lol) and they won't sit back and take it :P odds are they'll win the war of attrition unless you have tens or hundreds of billions hiding from your
nw somwhere that you can burn lol
Realistically take it as a lesson, 3m to learn and invaluable lesson is cheap in torn :) at least, cheaper than trying *not* to learn ;)
holdup . please let me get this straight , somebody bought goods from you , and then , stole money ? WOW , seen it all
Don’t be mad about it. Take it as a learning lesson. Always self hosp when selling items of value in the market.
your "forum posts to years in torn" ratio is crazy... and this is what you do with it?
(And have revives disabled… 39th street revied to buy-mug me for $47m when they bought a parachute I listed when I was like 2 months old. I self-hosp but forgot I enabled revives earlier that day for something)
Damn, that's crazy, hope you are all right.
Treat the loss as a $3m lesson. You can make that back in one day of flying. Put it behind you. Move on.
