Hey, can someone help with explaining how and why the matchmaking process works.

We are a newer faction and we go between bronze and bronze 1. When we get up to bronze 1 we get unfairly matched. There are 13 members in our faction and this time we have been matched against a faction that has 23 members most of which are a lot stronger than we are. So chances are we will lose this, purely because of member numbers and strengths.

any links to guides or can explain how it works would be appreciated

How it works?

You get paired up based on average stats, member count (there is a range of number of enemy members you can get paired up with), and your division (+-1 division)

For specifics on the details, read this

Why it works how it works?

Idk, but youve got it better than us:

12:04:10 - 05/05/26 Knockout - Weight Room could not be matched with a suitable opponent - please remain enlisted for priority matchmaking next week

I have a opinion about this not sure what changed but to get cache you need 500 points in war as to win you simply have to have more points than your opponents

Using RL perspective  All is fair in war

The are strong factions and weak factions that's how it is war is not supposed to be fair

Everyone needs to earn their keep did you think the millions which come from war are some sort of in game charity ??

Nah my brother its what war is about try Terming if it gets tough

Someone just has to lose this time its your faction's turn

Sure can do.

Spidernnam posted the wiki link which details the raw mechanics of it which you should certainly peruse this

I figure I'll also add in a more holistic explanation. The reality of it is that it is a pure ranking system, you will have to get stronger and beat stronger opponents to climb.

I'm only really bothering to say this to correct your perception of losing based on opponent strength as being unwarranted in some fashion.

From what you've said it sounds like you currently belong in bronze 0-1 range, as you grow and get stronger you'll be able to move up a few ranks. Higher ranks are populated by stronger factions with more stats and other attributes than you, the ranked system isn't about setting up 'fair' fights, it's about creating a hierarchy of how powerful each faction is within their rough member range!
