Begging is frowned upon in Torn.
At least it wasn't in GD and is technically question.
But Makkhoi summed it up. Begging won't get you far here. Find a good faction and join it, they'll guide you and probably give you some basic gear.
'Cute' clothes, you'll probably have to earn yourself.
Go to the dump and start searching, you might get lucky with a vault thief throwing all their toys out
Get to lvl 15, find a good trader, and start doing Xanny or plushy runs, good way to earn money.
