I recently acquired a flipper and very curious to talk to people who also own and use a flipper 

A Flipper Zero? I heard you can transmit any kind of wireless signal with it. Which of course means its usecases are mostly illegal. What are you planning to do with it?

Why would that mean the use cases are "mostly illegal"? There's all kinds of experimentation and other uses one could do. It's a radio.

Funniest thing you can do imo is to jam car keys, always for educational purposes of course.

It isn't illegal lol. Only using it for illegal purposes makes it illegal. Like don't go trying to start cars with it or opening others garages. Not to mention it doesn't come out of the box ready to use as a hacking tool, you have to modify it to whatever purposes your after. It's called a pen test (penetration test device). It's nothing special at all they're just over hyped by people who think they come ready to just hack everything and anything under the sun. Pen test devices have been around for so long now.

It becomes useless when it's against a rolling code.

i recommend just going on YouTube there's a channel called the talking sasquatch or something and he covers ethical hacking tools

being honest here, I dont call that hacking, thats for code skids.  its just an radio read writer. but just packed into one small machine and overly expensive. an laptop that you already own and maybe a rfid reader writer might do the stuff.

This is very much false. Most of its usecases are perfectly legal, it's just that good stuff doesnt really make headlines hence people pretending it's much more harmful than it is for clicks... you're not breaking in to a bank with it.
