Page unresponsive when opening player ID

The issue does not occur if I use a browser on my phone, only on PDA and Torn App. I have not tested on desktop. 

Clearing cache in PDA closed everything and logged me out, but did not fix the issue. 

I'm not sure where the web view is, to check that. 

I've found the same thing happening on my Torn PDA app; only thing is, once I open up a player's mini ID/profile, I can't scroll or click or do anything except close and reopen the Torn PDA app. Then the cycle just repeats.

Clearing cache and uninstalling then reinstalling did not work.

Using Torn via browser: I can open mini ID's without it freezing up on me but if I click "New Tab" on their mini ID, it automatically opens the new tab up in Torn PDA.

Follow Up: After uninstalling Torn PDA and clicking "New Tab" on mini ID's in browser, I no longer have any issues.

This conclusion: Sucks because Torn PDA can be very helpful with certain things that the Torn app or Torn in browser are not capable of doing.

For those struggling to find webview version, it depends on your phone, but typically in gplay (search Android Webview or something similar) or in System Components

Could you please try switching your Android System WebView version and check whether Torn app / Torn PDA starts working correctly?

Steps:

1. Open Google Play Store
2. Search for: Android System WebView
3. Install or switch between:
   • Stable
   • Beta
   • Dev
   • Canary
4. Go to:
   Developer options -> WebView implementation (change provider)
5. Select a different WebView version
6. Clear cache for:
   • Torn app / Torn PDA
   • Android System WebView
7. Restart the app/device and test again

Please also pay attention to which server the app is connected to (e.g. www2, www11, etc.) and include it in your reply.

Please let us know:

• which WebView version works/doesn’t work
• device model
• Android version
• whether the issue happens in Torn app, Torn PDA, or both
• which server is being used

I switched to each of the other webviews and none of them worked. (tested on Torn Official app)

This is still happening randomly after the bug fix, but only needs 1 player mini profile opened to happen now. It does not happen all the time.

I ain't doing all that with the webview versions.

I am use device Xiaomi Redmi 13. Use Torn App. Last week i don't see the issue. But a few days ago i found the bug. After hold click player information two times in Faction Page, entirely full page is freeze. The hyper-link is broken. If i keep hold the click when page freezed and force to open in new tab, new tab page still open but " Error 404 Object Not Found".

Really, this bug really give big problem to RW, to repeat close Faction Tab and repeat open Faction Tab from Icon Bar.

We've recently deployed some changes that may be related to the reported freezing issue.

Could you please check again and let us know whether the situation has improved?

Cleared cache and restarted too, but mo use.. :(

Also, could you try disabling the honor bars and then check whether the freezing still occurs?

Just writing here to state that this issue exists for me too. 

My faction states they are not having issues with their pda app

Samsung Galaxy A54 5g.

Experiencing it again now. It turned okay 8 days ago when u said its fixed, but apparently few days ago its happening again

When this issue happened originally it happened every single time you pressed on a mini profile the second time. Now it still happens but just happens at random times. I'm on torn pda btw

Not sure if this helps, but I just realized it's not just profiles. It's ALL links. Holding down on a link twice (or 2 different links) produces the issue too. Mini profiles are basically holding down on a link too, right?

Another thing, probably doesn't help but wanna mention it.

Holding link 1 --> open in another tab opens link 1

Holding link 2 (freeze here) --> open in another tab opens link 2

Holding link 3 (still frozen )--> open in another tab opens link 2 (not 3)

Link 4 --> 3, 5 --> 4, etc

We've deployed an additional fix that specifically targets the mini profile opening flow from the honor.

Could those of you who were experiencing the freezing issue please check whether it still occurs when opening a mini profile from the honor?

We're particularly interested in whether the freeze still happens at the moment the mini profile is triggered.
