What do most factions do for war pay?

How much usually goes to faction/leaders?

Is any pay allocated for higher ranks?

Do you pay on hits or respect?

How can bleeding points be accounted for? Are there tools to calculate respect lost against respect gain?

Thanks in advance for any contributions.

Edited to add this for a non-termed war

Every faction (or faction family) will have their own system for war payouts.

A good reputable faction will keep around 20% and payout the rest and will use the faction cut to fund weapons, armors and other stuff for its members.

Some pay based on hits, some based on respect, some have more complicated systems.

For example, our faction pays based on hits, but we do penalise low FF target hits.

There are tools for catching bleeders and again it varies per faction.

In fact, there are tools to monitor basically everything and its up to the faction leadership to decide what and how they monitor and penalise for.

The bigger the faction the more sophisticated its tools are for these things.

Generally, a leader decides what they want to prioritise when paying (a good method imo is deciding a total 'war score' with weights). If big stat players spendign their energy on low FF, they might choose to give more weight to high FF attacks, and even penalise low FF ones. Maybe, the leader doesnt care about FF, as long as the respect comes in, so pays for respect disregarding the energy used or the average FF. Maybe, the enemy faction is a lot stronger stat-wise, so assists get paid even more than normal hits, encouraging members to gang up on stronger players (usually the goal and changes would be announced in a fac newsletter). I believe there are google sheets templates that link with API keys and lists the members and their hits, and decides pay based on total payout and the weights. There probably also are a variety of web tools. Maybe even some maniacs out there manually go through each log counting respect.

Even DoA and DA have extreeeemly different payout systems. Do what works for you TBH, but faction leaders generally take no more than normal members. The value they gain is in faction respect which increases faction value if they're "owner" if they never plan to sell and would hand off if left, then it doesn't matter everyone gets what they put in including leader.

In no scenario would it make sense for the leader to get special treatment as far as payout goes.

I totally agree. Apologies if my comment somehow suggested otherwise.

In fact, we usually even exclude leadership from competitions to ensure fairness.

Any reputable faction is probably doing as you said.

Nuclear Blast puts 15% of War Payout towards the faction for buying supplies, running events and things like that. The remaining 85% goes towards the members.

When we do termed wars we attempt to get everyone to participate equally and split the pay. When we have real wars we have a formula that we pay that takes into account hits, assists, Retaliations, Fair Fight and more.
