I tried placing my winnings in faction vault.
You were already in negative balance from giving yourself 20 million when you didn't have 20 million deposited.
The faction does not restrict you to only giving someone their balance, it takes it from faction funds - the balance per member is just an auditing tool for you to keep track of things, which can be also increased/decreased with the "add to balance" option alongside the "give money" one.
Edit: This is how the vault theft threads all start with people giving bank permissions - there is nothing which restricts payouts to that balance value. You had temporariy "stole" a small amount of faction money, which you then returned...
Wow thank you. Im sorry to make this a issue. I was not paying attention. I wish there was a way to have the remaining balance displayed in the logs as well as the transfer. Maybe a future suggestion
No worries - it relies on the bankers looking at the screen and making sure you only send what they have.
There will always be overpayments happening, because as far as Torn is concerned those funds are owned by the faction not the members, and anyone with banker permissions has been given permission by that faction to do what they want with it - the number shown is just for players to keep track of how much they have "donated" to the faction over time...

You can see if there were any manual changes to your balance with this log, otherwise yeah what you see on the balance page will always match how much you have deposited and been given.
