Pinning Threads

So this is more of a admin question - 

When looking at a few of the "services" that players offer you tend to see the admin pin specific forums. My question is What makes these specific ones special an not others. I even Find it funny when Admin's tend to "leverage" these post to gave genuine questions from others. 

If we could Could we pin some Trading post?

I can speak to Faction Discussions. I threw a fit and admins agreed that the entire section went from discussing wars to flooded in faction selling threads. Now it's back to faction wars and drama with no loss for sellers as they still have a fully functional thread.

Granted the drama stuff has slowed in the current war system, but it'd not buried by traders.

As noted by the thread age, it already existed, people were just trying to sell both at once cause they only care about themselves. Naturally, admins had to step in.

In general, there's a clear reason like that, or just ease of navigation in Tutorials and Guides.

I'd be fine with red thread pinned, but orange should not be pinned IMO, the quality bar there is so low. The thread can also be "subscribed" to for notifications as people add stuff or bicker.

What makes one trading post better than another? The trading forum is already very very busy with posts, adding more pins to the front page just makes the front page that much shorter

You've also selected one loss selling service when there are multiple of them. Plus individuals often just buy losses on their own through the forum. There's no way to be partial and not show favoritism there. So why do it at all?

Yeah I ignored the loss selling part cause it's ridiculous. There are lots of services and none deserve special attention unless all get it.

How the heck do we make a thread? im so confused
