starting 13-06-2026 torntools has been showing me different people their information, DKK says it's wrong on torn's side.

With TornTools we just use the data we receive from the API. From my observations, it seems to show information from other players. 

 

I've asked one of the impacted players, and their information seems to be somewhat correct (money was $1 off, so it might be a bit older information).

Do you have a live example of where wrong information is being supplied by the API?

I don't seem to see the same issue for myself, and since it's corrected with our next update (after 30 seconds), it's hard for use to time it correctly.

 

I also don't have the time to investigate it myself down to an exact case, till at least tomorrow morning. In case it's needed, I can try to look into it then, but seeing it's definitely an API issue I wanted a report out ASAP. I would hope the developers have better tools to investigate it than I do as well.

 

EDIT, update on first post: information was fully correct, that $1 was received between the time this happened and me asking

Also had the same issue. Random profile loaded, disappeared after a few seconds. Back to my profile now.

this just happened to me, got an alert saying i had 850 energy and that my drug cooldown was up, so i checked the UI and checked who i was married to, I won't leak their name here but i asked them and they have the same energy count and their faction crime chain is the exact same so it looks like its giving me all their info

happened to me again just now, but this time it was specific i think, i added someone to my targets list then when it bugged out it showed me their info on torntools

tried it once after this, i didnt get the specific person i added to targets but it did give me someone random showing up, the first time it happened was 20 mins after i added someone to targets list, this time it was 6 minutes after, each time ive added someone it made my target list full so went from 179/180 to 180/180

I've tried it again with other people but cant seem to get it to happen at all so maybe just a coincidence it happened then but it seemed like i could do it multiple times, will keep trying

If there are more instances of this, please respond to the report with exact timestamp and what incorrect data was supplied. There could be an issue on our end, but we haven't found anything yet.

This looks like it's a newsie from some faction I am not in. There was another newsie from some random faction yesterday, but I dismissed it before I could grab a screenshot.

Edit to add the time: Happened at 08:59 TCT along with some other notifications that are also someone else's (425/150 energy, 80/80 nerve).

Only loot/steakouts jimmy is related to me, the rest are not mine, earlier it happened as well just after npc fights

I also started getting captchas last night after NPC fight, didnt really check if i was getting other peoples events

I am not sure what to do here. 

 

I looked through all request logs for a few players who posted in this thread for relevant time frames, and there were no suspicious requests being made or keys being used.

 

I am a bit wary about spending much time on this because all of the issues seem to be related to TornTools (so far)? 

We also didn't have any updates done in our system on 13th or 14th of June.

 

We'll keep a close eye on this though.
