This post was inspired by the nonsense post from some noob I read 4 seconds ago. The title was catchy, so here goes. 

Real Life Torn Merit System (IRL Merits)

• Out of The Shadows - attend a TornCon Event
• Out There - meetup with a Torn friend irl
• An Offer You Can't Refuse - marry your in game spouse irl
• Shacking Up - buy a property irl that's found in game
• Boomers - have a child irl with an in game spouse
• Committed - be convicted of a crime irl (speeding tickets?)
• Bronze Weight - go to the gym irl every day for a week
• Silver Weight - go to the gym irl every day for a month
• Gold Weight - go to the gym irl every day for a year
• Shark - win a poker tournament irl
• Big Fish - have a irl networth of $1M+
• Whale - have a irl networth of $2M +
• Real Adult - have a irl personal income of $100k+/yr
• Prideful - be gay for real or at least that one time
• Touched Grass - use Mary Jane irl (where it's legal)
• Mugged - get mugged irl literally or someone buys you a coffee mug
• Revived - survive a serious illness or accident involving an extended hospital stay irl
• A Good Time, Not a Long Time - spend a night in jail irl
• Crash Test Dummy - crash your car irl
• Child at Heart - own a stuffy collection irl

Silver Weight - go to the gym irl every day for a month Missing, probably did in college though, especially during the winter months

Whale - have a irl networth of $2M + Probably close if you don't count the taxes on unrealized gains, the deferred taxes on IRAs, and if you counted the present value of my social security.

Invested - own multiple stocks with a value over $10k irl Done. Only $10k? I've been a strict index fund investor since age 37 or so. But I had pretty large Tesla, Caterpillar, and Pepsi holdings for a while.

Invested - own multiple stocks with a value over $10k irl - I have multiple investments outside of stocks ranging from precious metals, real estate, comic books, and cryptocurrency. My comic book collection is actually worth more than 10k. Diversify?

Merits are the upgrade "currency" you get from honors (probably the word you were looking for) and medals.
