Sorry if this has been addressed already in this thread or another guide, but is there a "general" CPR % where its worth transitioning from Break the Bank to the Cesium Crime chain? etc?

Emforus [2535044] Wiki Contributor

Hey, it's not addressed here or any of my other guides, most factions determine their own recommended CPR by checking either here or directly with Allenone for success rates at different CPRs. The exact breakpoint will depend a lot on how willing your particular fac is to take risks.

As a sidenote: It's been a while everyone! RL has kept me busy but I'll try to get the new maps ready within the week and do any corrections that are needed to the existing maps (the Leave No Trace and Honey Trap switcharoo are still pending, smh).

Any update on when the new OCs will be added? Been looking for data on the new Window of Opportunity crime, but I also understand if the data isn't quite there yet.

1 suggestion add the ability to change the base rates for cpr ie my faction has a rule can only join a crime if 60% or over so being able to set it to show a base of 60 per role instead of having to do it manually every time is a tad annoying but overall great website

Great idea, I'll look into updating that as soon as I'm able.

Now, good news and bad news people!

Got a new PC recently so I can start working again on this, and better than before 'cause I no longer have to close every single tab and application to start programming stuff.

The bad news is, when I switched computers I backed up CrimeHub but not the utility scripts I was using to parse crime maps and rewards from Allenone's API into a format that's more fitting for my uses, so I gotta make that from scratch and see if I can improve them while at it,

Here's hoping for an update introducing some of the new maps before the month's end.

Hello,

Sorry that the update's taken longer than anticipated, steam sales are on and I've been heavily distracted (been enjoying White Knuckle too much)

Prepping some more things before pushing the update, here's what I've got so far

NOT LIVE YET BTW

– Added Window of Opportunity

– Added Dish It Out (still missing two outcomes, most certainly bad ends, and discussing whether some checks are dual, triple, quadruple or quintuple)

– Added two missing endings to Crane Reaction (had them for a while, just never updated it)

– Added a basic "set all roles to" input for the simulator

– Improved simulator link generation to remove spaces so you can actually paste it.

– Minor changes and reward updates for some OCs

– [Internal] Improved map generation logic so new ones are easier to make

Todo before update

– Finish all the lower level maps that were due for a while, including

  • Pet Project
  • Best of the Lot
  • Thou Shalt Not Steal (currently doing this one)
  • Plucking the Lotus Petal
  • First Aid and Abet

– Update rewards for Leave No Trace and Honey Trap

If anyone's got other suggestions for improvements I could make, reply here or send me a message and I'll look into it this week.

I have two suggestions for you. :D

First is add role weight in the simulator. For example, on mobile phones or in narrow computer webpages, the simulator area will cover the weight area. Having weight information will greatly facilitate the adjustment of CPR.

Second might be more troublesome, so I'll just make a wish lol. Is there a possibility to simulate the entire chain scenarios within the same simulator interface? I think the profitability of a chain needs to consider the success rate of the entire chain. Looking at a single scenario can lead to a certain degree of overestimation.

Emforus [2535044] Wiki Contributor

The first one seems easy enough, I'll look into it.

The second one would require a dedicated simulator page, rather than a dialog accessed within an OC's map, due to the way maps/simulator data is loaded. It may be possible but I don't think I'll make it a priority.

Pushed an update today, wanted to wait until Lock Stock had more data but I'd rather push what I have and work on the rest while I wait.

  • Added Window Of Opportunity
  • Added Dish It Out
  • Added Plucking the Lotus Petal
  • Added Thou Shalt Not Steal
  • Updated rewards for Leave No Trace and Honey Trap (old rewards can be viewed in the 'versions' tab)
  • Improved link generation for the simulator
  • Added visible role weights in the simulator
  • Added "Set all CPRs to..." input to the simulator
  • Updated multi-role checks' coloring logic

Todo:

  • Update rewards for Counter Offer (pretty sure combat armor is no longer a drop)
  • Add Best of the Lot
  • Add Pet Project
  • Add First Aid and Abet
  • (potentially) Add Lock Stock
  • (potentially) Add Hostile Takeover

Hello,

Pushed an update today, focused on the very requested new OCs Lock Stock, Hostile Takeover and Cleared for Takeoff.

Keen eyed users will notice this about Hostile Takeover

"How come the best ending pays less than others?" you might ask. Well, that's part of the reason why it took so long to push these.

In essence, there's an earlier check done by Hacker that is the only factor that determines the payout. The following illustration should summarize that point

All endings have the same reward ranges, on average and with enough samples all endings should have a reward of ~735M more or less.

Initially I was convinced that there was a problem with my data processing script so I tweaked and tuned a few things, when that didn't help I thought it was a sample size issue, so I waited around two weeks for more samples to arrive, and once I got enough samples and checked again, getting the same result, I went ahead and looked manually at around 100 endings to see what caused the difference in the payout.

Got there in the end :)

Anyway, still got some of the earlier OCs to do, I'll look into doing Pet Project as soon as I can since it's the oldest.
