sometimes, someone trading with me will let me know they got an error saying they can't add items to a trade because it will bring my inv over 100k items, and then i have to go rush to add stuff …
I've been hit with it before. About 80,000 from memory.
Ive been on the other side, added a few thousand flushies to a trade (or tried to) and it wouldnt let me. I think if you add to display torn stops complaining

As said above, inventory limit is 100k.
Warning is very premature, but moving shit to display case (which seems to be unlimited) solves the issue.
If you run out of space, send me stuff and I'll hold it for you.
Just use your display case as a trash can like I do

the warning starts at 25k items in inv iirc
I remember this being implemented due to a particular player having an extraordinarily large inventory. Who was that again?

25k items is quite far from 100k items...
