In the name of science,  I have decided to do an experiment on myself.  Eighty-six hours awake, in a matter of endurance.  There's no greater meaning than to push the envelope, watch it bend. I have grown to realize that I become socially functional,  after ten hours of awareness.  This, all of it is for the experience.  Far as we know, we have but one (1) life, so why not test one's limits?

No worries, you got plenty of opportunities to fail again. Dont give up.

On the bright side, as of this moment I'm on hour 20. Haven't read Pirzig's Zen and the Automotive Maintenance but this feels like Pirzig's meta cognition far as I am knowledgeable of such

If you are really doint it irl i hope you have someone nearby, or someone keeps chekcing on you,  you might hurt yourself by falling asleep suddenly and endanger yourself

You are likely experiencing the effect of adrenaline keeping you up also providing greater focus. May have attention deficit disorder or related symptoms.

Even if you feel more focused, the sleep deprivation will still cause some cognitive deficiencies.

Sounds like ' you're different ergo you must be cognitively segregated ', cognitive deficiencies? According to whom; the mattress sales propaganda? Likely.

According to the civilization, I'm neuro spicey but the damn doctors are 'it's a decade wait last time we checked.', and ya contact em they forget.'

I was speaking from personal experience when it comes to getting a sense of drive through sleep deprivation.  40mg of Vyvanse works a lot better though

Don't need drugs for it. Did a max of 80 hours comfortably.

I reached an estimated 80 hours w/o sleep fine

No more motivation being more like 'eh im bored lets nap'

It (metacognition) held steady

I wasn't comfy comfy it was the sorta 'my chair is hard but im comfy'

For me i find that I could psuedo put half my mind in a state of not slumber but idle. Eh it's like work gear, older tradesmen have converted their gear to work better. It's something ive learned over my life.

@80 hours I was reminded of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach.
