URT RACING PROBLEMS

With a lot of people racing this days the races yesterday  where very few we had like 3 races and all of them where occupied in 1-2 minutes 

And it was hard to enter races after every races and I believe  that the people  who organize  these races can make it fair so that each and everyone  can have  a fair chance of qualifying  

Long back  people  who raced where few but now torn has 100 k users per day meaning  there is a possibility  that we had over 600 people  in races yesterday  

We hope the administration  can figure  something  out so that we play it fair

Yeah, and in past editions you had races full in 10-20 seconds, a single refresh with bad timing and you was out xD

Now some races even take so long to fill I've been able to join back to back after I finished the current one. If you want to join be there at the hour they open and you will join for sure.

There are 3 races open every hour, you should be able to join one:

1. Stalk the steward and refresh the racing page during xx:00

2. You can immediately join another race after you've finished (don't need to wait for the event notification)

There are worse things than not getting in the races. There is getting in the race and having RNGesus turn his back on you. I've had a withdrawal race already where I came 95th, even behind a couple of people using class B cars. When RNGesus doesn't love you nothing else matters.

  someone out there making bogus races titled URT and in the same colour as the event, or was this a legitimate race?

That one was bogus. Its contains URT so if it was a steward who opened it it gets gold flair. We are all already warned about that but some people just either dont realize when making it, forget about how it works or ignore it. Just a human mistake so if you joined enjoy the double rs from it 🤷 

May be it's time to get admins involved and make 500 car races available for these qualifiers lol. It's stressful to get in, yeah. 

I think people doing their best.  Tough to join a race every hour.  But if online at xx:00 usually can get in one.  So idk.  Maybe set a timer, because yeah, if 60 seconds late you may not get in and be sad.

It's the same every year. Mad rush to get into a race. At least this year they added a third race, it was worse with only two races per hour.

For those of us who can’t stalk a page for a minute every hour it’s a pain. Same problem as elimination long ago

i urge URT stewards to do races every 15 mins rather than 3 on the hour. You are disqualifying the majority of players who have a real life to get on with

1 race every 15 mins would just make it worse to join most likely.

You will have people finishing their race and immediately joining back on all races if the track takes less than 15 minutes

More races next year please! Love the event but joining is hard and making more races available at the start of each hour would up the number of allowed entrants to this neat competition! <3

I hope all the people who want more races will be signing up as stewards for the next event. 

Maybe ask Ched to build some proper mechanics for this then

eg. A 24h queue where players join and it allocates them to a race, then they have to join again for next days race

Yeah go ask ched, and give them that example where you can only join 1 race per day essentially 🤣

Current system is fine, you have more than enough time and opportunities to join a couple races at least. Hell, there is people that managed to join 15+ races in a single day, and every day there is almost or more than 2000 people that managed to join 1

I wasn't able to concentrate on the event this year due to rl stuff but still managed to join 5 or 6 races a day.

There are 100,000 active players

so this event is only available to 2-10% of torn, specifically those who can be available at the hour every hour of the day

Always been a mad rush to join the qualifying races.

I even joined a screwed up 100 lap that was gold while half asleep and got stuck in it before I realized it was the wrong race. The Stewards need to be sure to post the correct number of laps.   

The Current system is fine as long as the Stewards all post all 3 of thier races exactly on the hour XX:00.  It's when the races get posted at some random time that makes it  suspicious. Are they holding off posting a race so they can tell thier friends when it will be available to join and give them an advantage of getting into a race?

Man agreed, I even set timers for when the previous races ended and was only able to get into like 2 races. I fakin work mate I can’t be out here trying to join a torn race and piss off my boss him watching be do that for the last 3 days, was insanity. At some point I quasi gave up!

They need to add races as they fill and just let it ride, but they won’t do that cause they don’t want the extra work.

Im also CERTAIN they had bots joining. Hence why all the bot checks lately 

I dunno... I was able to join multiple races without any problem...

Sounds like... a skill issue.
