Changed retrieving loaned items.....

From the patch notes: Changed retrieving loaned items from faction members overseas to be blocked unless they are being kicked.

So you're telling me someone can forget to unequip a warlord or other weapon during war, fly out, and we can't get that weapon back until they return?! What in the actual fuck? Why?! You have any idea how many times I've had to retrieve a weapon that should have been returned but someone forgot to? 

Ngl this one actually irritates me. What's the reasoning behind the change? 

More realistic. 

You cannot teleport weapons from another country back to Torn anymore.

But you can trash them to teleport to Torn dump?

If we're pursuing realism you shouldn't be able to board the damn plane with weapons anyway, much less transport a large suitcase of drugs back with you. There's always a balance between realism and usability or fun in games. This particular change removes a tool that faction leadership had, and opens the door to abuse by salty members. I'm just waiting for the first "this noob loaned the entire armory to himself, flew to Japan and logged out right in the middle of war."

Edit: and in the current state of things you can't transport weapons or armor with you, meaning they stay in torn.

this is a change I like, it makes sense

Careful, Travel 2.0 isn't fully rolled out yet and the sadistic devs might take your first line as a suggestion.

Can’t wait until a disgruntled member flies overseas with half an armoury during a war and just sits there 

maybe its for the scenario in which armor /weps use inventar you fly abroad /mug war and then faction retrieves everything for you and you full inventar to bring back stuff again
but its a massive step back in QoL to prevent some min or exploit smh what a bullshit idea

And as always, the worst part is the 0 communication...

We have not been told anything, no timeline, no expectations, nothing.

Weekly announcements need to have more info!

did you miss the "unless they are being kicked" bit stapled on there?  If someone loans out your entire armoury and flies out they deserve to be kicked anyway, fuck em

edit: Immediately noticed you said mid war, that's actually a fair point.  Still, only one war, then they get the boot and as much attention as your faction has to spare

I thought we boarded a flight in our birthday suit and no weapons.  

But you can still race while in jail or hospital or committing an organized Crime? 

Just not flying. Why are planes the only place where reality matters?

I wonder if it's only loaned + equipped, and not just loaned at all?

Especially if you can't kick them during a war...  ouch! 

I am guessing this would also be for when we can actually fly out with weapons again, since technically if right now we cannot travel with them, there is no need to teleport them... 

but if you do teleport with a macana and a nessie plushie, and your molecules mixed together like in The Fly?  oooohhhh New Origin Story of a Super Villain:  Macanessie!

Loaned and equipped can be removed while still flying.

This change is actually a bad one. Weigh the possibilities. Someone could withdraw every single warlord or even all bonus weapons to their inventory and fly to South Africa while the faction is war locked and the leaders couldn't do anything about that. Especially if they did so and went inactive for the full war. Effectively screwing over everyone in their faction.

Is this worse than vault thefts?

So far my testing concludes:

You can receive any item from faction while flying and while abroad.

Faction can retrieve any item loaned while flying and abroad.

Equipped loaned weapon can be retrieved while flying.

only scenario I didnt test is equipped loaned weapon retrieved after landing yet (oversight and only had 1 equipped that was loaned)

Conclusion: havent been implemented yet.

I was against the change, but now that you mention it, yeah. This has the potential to create a ton of hilarious drama.
