What's everyones favourite B-Movies.
If you're wondering what I mean by B-movie I mean: Stright to DVD, TV or Streaming.
Some of my favourites are:
Sharknado. 1-6
The Hoard. (2018)
Zombeavers.
Rubber.
Attack of The Lederhosenzombies.
Turbo Kid.
Cannibals and Carpet Fitters.
And loads, loads more.
OG Sharknado, Zombeaver and Rubber are excellent.
Bad Taste 1987, The Evil Dead 1981, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Toxic Avenger 1984, Prom Night 1980, Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead are all great and low budget cult movies.
I guess I like my low budget horror lol!
Frankenstein's Army (2013) may lack story, but the practical effects and monster design were awesome.
That's such a strange movie!!
Just discovered on Amazon Prime, "To Live and Die in L.A."
The good:
Directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist)
The entire score of the film is by WANG CHUNG (80's synth band)
Willem Dafoe is the bad guy, and he could not have been more than 18 or 20 years old, and he frickin' rocks this role!
Robert Downey Jr.'s father has a small part, as a police detective, kind of interesting
The bad:
There is no lead actor. There is a male actor and a female actor who 'could be' the leads, but both are not very good, and as it turned out, this was the only major film either of them ever made (go figure)
The verdict:
Overall, it is a strong B movie, despite no lead "good guy" actors, in what is supposed to be a Hollywood, big budget take on a Miami Vice type of story
A must-watch for Willem Dafoe completists
