All destinations are a waste of time if what they offer doesn't align with what you are looking for. Most travelers to England who do enjoy their trip come for the history - Stonehenge, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Shakespeare's Globe, heck even Platform 9 3/4 ...
If that's not your thing then look elsewhere :)
I find England the least beautiful of the UK (I love Scotland), but there are still some really great places. London is cool, lots of freaks, but come on, London has Jack the Ripper. My question is more why anyone would try to make England sound appealing to you? I think there are tons of amazing places in the world, just go somewhere else. And I think England doesn't care whether you like it or not. But I am not sure.
I mean if you want to stand in a pub all day and fight over football you might have a good time.
The issue is that tourists go to London and don't leave London and say england is shit, they experience London and London only. Not England.

England is fun but Scotland is so beautiful!!! I like your food too. Your alcohol sucks though takes me 10 drinks to get drunk
