After my most recent Discussion Post, where we were talking about the piggy banks of Torn City, I decided to bring another interesting topic of conversation to you! Stay respectful (as always) and have a fun read!
(As per usual, the most interesting comments to me receive some free goodies! Scroll further down if you are just here to answer some questions.)
While it might appear to the public eyes, that I didn't touch my display case in a few months (I swear, I did...trust me.), that statement could not be further away from the truth! I'm a true Librarian (that is reading his first book after almost two years...)!
The Collection: After 1 year + subscription status, almost every appeared mission points book has been purchased (and rotated cheap items), this is the result!
As the expert sees, we got some real bangers laying around. I'm only yearning for one more book, before I shall cancel my subscription! (Just chedded himself?)
It doesn't matter if you understood exactly what I mean, are genuinely 60% blind on your left eye, or threw yourself into the discussion post without any idea about what's goin' on here.
I have questions for YOU!
But first, what do we need to know about these books?
(Remember, Torn isn't full of nerds or sth...)
- Books can only be used once (with very few for exceptions!)
- They are pretty overpowered items
- And therefore really difficult to get (F2P & P2W)
- Reading one can change your whole career (now imagine multiple :O)

- What experiences did you make reading books in Torn? (if you did that already)
- Did you have certain highlights / disasters that come to mind? If so, what do you remember?
- Do you think books are balanced enough? What could be done better/should never change about it?
- Is the difficulty to get the books you want fair in relation to their usefulness?
- How difficult was it to gather all the books you currently have?
- If you had to remove one book out of the game forever, which one would that be? And what would you have thought of as a consequence to the citizens?
