All hopeful candidates will receive a response, unfortunately I will not have the time to provide specific feedback at this point due to the sheer number of applications but I am immensely grateful to all those who took the time to apply.
If you do not receive the response you were hoping for please do not let this dishearten you, it is a very tough decision and tough competition with several hundred applications for just a few spaces, and it pains me to have to reject plenty of genuinely great candidates.

We're now accepting applications for new volunteer helper staff! Torn has grown more than we ever imagined with over 100,000 players logging in every day and new records are being reached even as I write this announcement, making our community bigger, busier, and more vibrant than ever. That growth is exactly why we need more helpers, and we're thrilled to open the doors to players who want to represent Torn in a more active role.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their involvement in the game. As Torn continues to grow, we're particularly looking for helpers interested in moderating chats and forums, alongside assisting players across the board.
Who Can Apply?Anyone is welcome, but we recommend applying only if:
You've played Torn for at least a year.You primarily use a computer rather than mobile (though all applications will be considered).

This role goes beyond assisting new players, chat and forum moderation will be a major focus during this recruitment round.

1. Why do you want to be a helper, and what do you believe are the most important responsibilities of a moderator in Torn?
2. Describe a time you witnessed or were involved in a conflict or rule-breaking in Torn. How did you respond, and what was the outcome?
3. If you saw a player toeing the line of the rules or intentionally provoking others without breaking them outright, how would you react?
4. What do you believe are the biggest challenges Torn's staff currently face? How would you help address them?
5. What recent change or update in Torn sparked strong reactions from the community? How would you have responded to complaints about it as staff or shared your own dissatisfaction?
6. What is your general impression of the Torn community and its culture and how would you contribute to maintaining an inclusive, positive and fair environment?
7. How familiar are you with Torn's rules and enforcement history? Are there any rules you think are frequently misunderstood by players?
8. If accepted, what would your personal goals as a helper/moderator be? Would you be interested in progressing further in staff, or is this your ideal role?
9. What device do you primarily use to play Torn? (PC/Mobile?)
10. Do you have any experience moderating other games, platforms, or communities? If so, which, and what did you learn from it?

Reapplying is encouraged! Many of our best staff were accepted after a second or further application.We expect to accept up to 6 new helpers due to training capacity.The timing of your application has no impact, focus on quality rather than aiming to apply early.This round is for helper applicants only; we're not considering committee roles.
