Antidote against cramping and general menstrual cycle imbalances.

My sisters, this tea actually works and the effect is almost instantaneous!

1 big cozy cup Moonblood tea:

1/2  ts Fenugreek seeds (roughly crushed)

2      ts Hibiscus flowers

1      ts Stinging Nettle

Optional:

1      ts Rasberry leaf or Red clover buds

Steep the herbs in hot water for at least 7 min, strain and add honey if you like it sweet.

You can brew a whole pot of this and drink throughout the day for general strengthening, although most people notice the effects before the first cup is finished.

This tea has been tested by myself, friends with severe cramping and has been used continuously every other week for years without any side-effects.

Recipe is inspired by ayurvedic teachings, Norwegian folk-medicine and long personal experience with herbs.

Tip:

  • You can add 1 ts marshmallowroot or 1/2 ts licorice root to the steep if you like a natural sweet hint. This will also add both strengthening and soothing benefits to your whole gut- intestine system.

  • Use this tea together with 1 tbs vinegar as a hair rinse and notice the difference

  • A faster distribution of the plants abilities towards the affected organ can always be boosted with a pinch of warming herbs (ginger, chili, black pepper etc) especially of you are a typical "cold" person. (slow/little blood flow, clumping, stagnation, low appetite.. slow metabolism, tends to get cold feet and fingers...you get it)

  • This tea is also tasty when cold, served with ice and a twig of fresh rosemary

You can sometimes find similar receipes already prepared bagged tea, but it is usually advices to drink more than one teabag to apply the effect
