I keep getting interrupted, when warring, after clicking items to sell, etc (in fact while trying to post this, too).

 

I understand that Cloudflare is primarily managing this and Torn.com cannot influence the details.

 

However,

  • I am using only the well-known scripts and I have already tried disabling them
  • I have tried clearing cache, logging back in, etc

Possible culprits:

  • I do rarely use (the same) VPN, for reasons unrelated to torn.com. It has then occurred that an open browser window will call torn from another IP range (country).
  • My ISP has me behind CGNAT

My request for help:

  • Can logs be checked ?
    • Here is a cf-ray id I saw in my browser's console 
      a212bff9edc01fff-ATH
      for the first 403 Forbidden I got tody, while loading the poker page, on GET /audio/holdem/card_coming_1.mp3
  • I am hoping the firewall rule name in the logs can reveal if it is a script that is triggering the 403 or if it is a "country", remembered from a long-gone VPN connection
  • If it is the CGNAT I suppose there is not much to be done

 

I should note, I have no issues with Cloudflare on any other site. I presume that the config is particularly strict for torn.com, I understand the reasons.

The only reason Error 403 occurs if you are switching networks (between WiFi/mobile network), or if your router had a hiccup and decided to change the IP address, none of these are related to Torn itself. These errors occur in response to network changes on your end, we have this enabled for DDOS protection for Torn's sake. You just need to ensure that you are not switching networks, the check can still be triggered without a network change if your IP address changes for whatever reason, most notably if you are using a VPN service which is being unreliable. This is not something that we control, I cannot help you here sorry.
