I haven’t seen bricks in bobs for weeks now, has anyone else noticed this or been able to find some recently?

Which function are you trying to replace?
If you mean as a temporary weapon:

Wrench is more accurate but less damage
Fireworks are more damage but less accurate
If you meant to use as bricks for sinking cars etc, then no.
You'll just need to buy them at their trading value from other players, or find in crimes.
Edit: Or buy beer from bobs, sell the beer on the market, buy bricks from the market.
