So I was scrolling through my chat list, and I found that I made a few friends years ago from the same hobby — collecting high-quality equipments.
However there isn't really a connection between these friends, I could make a forum thread, but it would probably get inactive in a week.
So I got an idea: what if we have a Commerce Association? Like a trading faction?
Here's how it works:
1. Creating a CA
Players can create a CA with some money, probably someone expensive like 1b
The founder will automatically be the first president of the CA, and he can select the first council of 4.
2. Members, subscribers, and non-members
All players are non-members of all CA that they haven't joined, they can only see the description page and announcements of a CA.
Players can subscribe to a CA, and they will be able to read the regular newspaper and market reports of the CA, they will be charged an small amount everytime they received a report or newspaper, with the amount set a month before, see more later on newspapers and reports.
Players can also join a CA, which they will be charged an amount every month, they will get all the benefits of subscribers, and also get access to forums, referendums, council votes, and be able to advertise their business (See advertisement), one player can join as many CA as they wish.
Fees
The fees of members and subscribers will decided by the council, a month before it being implemented. Fees and only be changed once every quarter, and it cannot be increased more than 500% every time. If there is an increase in fees, players need to confirm it within a month, or they will automatically unsubscribe to membership or subscription (to prevent scamming)
3. Council of the CA
The council will vote on both decisions and referendums, and will be in charge of posting regular market reports, announcements, regular newspapers, and other actions.
Composition of the council
The council will be composed of 1% of the amount of total member in the CA, plus 1 president. The smallest council will have 5 members (4 councillors + 1 president), and largest will have 65 members (64+1). Even if the CA have more than 640 members, there will not be more councillors than 64.
Decisions
Decisions are like changing fees, newspaper regularly, remove other councillors, impeachment of the president, and other stuff. A majority of the councillors need to vote on for aye for it to pass.
Council election
Except for the first coucil, which is picked by the founder, every member of the council are elected by members of the CA. They council will elect a president within them. Council election will occur once every quarter.
4. Newspapers and Reports
The council will create newspapers and reports, and they can decide how often they will be posted respectively. While the council is expected to create them, it's not mandatory. If the council did not create a newspaper or report when expected, subscribers will not be charged. The council can only create them as often as once per weekk
Newspapers will be discussion of the future of the market, recent changes of game features, etc.
Reports will be past analysis, market reflection, statistics, etc.
5. Advertisements
Members of a CA can advertise a specific item, their bazaar, or their profile, each will cost some money, and a 1% tax.
For example, in a chache commerce association, a player have payed some money to the association to advertise their melee chache, which will show up in the "business" page, and members can buy from them. Even if their chache are sold out, their item will still be listed.
Same for bazaar, but all sold from bazaar will be charged, and profile is that all trade (bazaar, GM, item trade) will be taxed.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, Commerce Association is like a faction for traders who trades the same sort of things, from cache, cans, Xanax, rw weapons, to collections, art, service, et cetera. It also provides new players who are interested in these fields informations and a communit
Any suggestions?
