Why is nearly all art left wing?

This spun out of a conversation in the Political Meme Dump.

Why are nearly all of the great artists - singers, artists, actors, comedians, writers - left wing?

I can only think of a handful of artists who are openly conservative and only a few of them who are actually talented - Eastwood, Grammer, Voight, Morrisey are the ones come to mind.

Is it because the qualities required to be an artist - compassion, wit, introspection, empathy, etc - are incomparable with being a conservative?

Read somewhere that right wingers generally have lower openness to experience as a psychological trait, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing on its own but I would imagine that must be linked to this in some way. At the very least correlated.

Because you need a brain and be confronting on the status quo to make good art. I mean, even Chinese artist that are critical on their government have mostly.left.wing ideas while China is considered a left wing government.

at the end of my shift today I left a note for the oncoming tech on 2nd shift about a problem that needs addressed. at the end of the note i left a half assed cheesy drawing of a bird flying over a fence. Does that count as art? 

Some of the most conservative societies to ever exist were also some of the most creative people to ever exist. Many conservatives have produced amazing work, including in the modern world. To assume someones political ideology is what determines that , is pretty retarded. I'd say BadDog a.k.a. MadDog is more creative than many of you liberals here on torn as well. LOTR is some peoples favorite movies. It doesn't take a liberal, to feel like his/her miles walk every day was bullshit, and that he could create something that can conveniently transport him/her from point A, to point B. It could be because they wanted to see their family every day. That goes for many other things as well. 

You've been watching too many videos telling you how "open minded" liberals are, and how "stuck in their ways" conservatives are or something. "Liberals have a better imagination, and more willing to deviate from the norm". Its all slop.

It sure does, and I'm sure many "open minded liberals" wouldn't have done that. Seems like something a creative person would do, despite their political ideologies. 

it was an inside joke between us. He recently got a 'talking to' for going outside the company gate without permission to retrieve a bill of lading that the wind caught for the supplies of an order we received.

Sometimes It's little things like that, that make our time there suck just a tad bit less.
