I bet you hear this all the time but now that I'm in the stock market I won't be needing my piggy bank, right? If I land in the hospital what other vehicles are there to stash my funds? Or jail or off seas. Will I or won't I need this safety net?

If you land in the hosp, you can save your cash in a ghost trade. Not recommended to break piggy bank unless you absolutely need the funds.
Why not store it in the Cayman Islands bank?
cayman island is kind of okay if you already have a normal bank invest going on but you also run the risk of getting mugged, which is obviously bad

The piggy bank is a once only item.
If you smash it, it cannot be replaced.
