The moment you've all been waiting for! There are lots of good matches this week but I selfishly am going to assume ours is the most hilarious of week 1 in the new matchmaking system.
Some of you have been hoping for Ascension to get their just desserts for a long time, and Ched has finally answered your prayers! Jumping from Plat 2 to Diamond 3 after a loss and matching the current 18th HOF ranked warring faction, apparently the new ELO systems thinks VERY highly of Ascension.
For my members and our dedicated supporters, please heed: this is not the week to bet on us winning outright. maybe some creative prop bets are in order.

I don't agree with the anon message and I hope it didn't come from one of my members. It was a fun battle and a fortunate matchup for us in that our strengths (turtling and timing) played to your one …
Reckon contagion vs mouse is even more lopsided, but 100 mil on HT at 2:1 odds qtb (you get 200 mil if NLA win), void if the usual etc.

For what it is worth - the matchup really isn't that ridiculous. We faced HT in the old system and both your average and your median are higher than what ours was then. This was always the reality outside of intentionally staying in Plat. (Wanna clarify I am not trying to be mean here. I respect NLA's strength. I bet on them against Cap X, even. Just giving the perspective of a faction who has been struggling in Diamond the whole time :P)
