If you’re asking a friend who’s been to Singapore, I’d say: don’t try to “finish” Singapore. It’s small, but you can still exhaust yourself walking around 😂.
A few things I’d tell you:
* Use MRT as your default transport. It’s fast and easy, and you can simply tap a contactless Visa/Mastercard or mobile wallet at the gates; no need to buy a transport card unless you specifically want one.
* Wear really comfortable shoes. You’ll walk more than you expect—even when Google Maps says “10 minutes.”
* Don’t eat only at restaurants. Singapore’s hawker centres are part of the experience. Try Maxwell Food Centre around Chinatown. It’s inexpensive and has lots of choices.
* Do Chinatown + Kampong Glam/Little India as neighbourhood walks, rather than treating them as individual attractions. Wander, eat, take photos, then move on.
* Gardens by the Bay is worth doing, especially late afternoon into evening. Go while there’s still daylight, walk around, then stay for the evening atmosphere. Gardens by the Bay
* Don't underestimate the heat and humidity. Take breaks. Singapore looks compact on a map, but walking outside at 1–2 PM can be brutal.
* Carry a little cash. Cards/contactless are extremely convenient, including public transport, but some smaller hawker stalls still prefer cash.
* And please remember: return your tray after eating at hawker centres/food courts. It’s expected in Singapore.
Most importantly, leave some empty space in your itinerary. One good day could simply be:
Breakfast → Chinatown → hawker lunch → Marina Bay → Gardens by the Bay → dinner → walk around the city at night.
That's already a pretty satisfying Singapore day.
And don't worry too much about getting lost. Singapore is one of those places where you can make a wrong turn and accidentally discover somewhere interesting. 😄
You can try going to the Universal Studios for a full day experience. If thrill seeking is not to your liking, you can visit the SEA Oceanarium instead. Lovely place.
Lots of fun things and activities to do at Resorts World Sentosa, from beaches to nature walks. It's the most fun place in Singapore lol (besides the casino)
I did the aquarium it was ok. Thanks
Thanks. Ill certainly use this.
