Please forgive me if this has already been asked, but couldn't find it anywhere.
Upon finishing a book that increases stats does it award gains from where you started the book or does it go by the total of the stat at the end of the book when calculating the reward?

It calculates at the end of reading. So you'll read it for a month, when it ends it takes your stat and adds %.
The gains cap at 10mil, so it's not very good. But to get the most out of it you want to have 200m in that stat to reach cap, or atleast work it out so your training aligns that you will end up with 200m by the end of that month

For sure. If you have one I'd definitely wait until you can make the cap. Otherwise it's just a waste. The % is negligible, even at 200m. 10m isn't a big gain. Just more of a filler book for if you don't have anything else
