Yeah, why is this a thing? Why not 24 hours for captain voting, 24 hours for vice-captain voting or put it all together? Allow the captain to select 1 VC at most. The team needs to have a say in those representing them.
Also, if it's not already, please implement ranked choice voting.

This is how I interpreted it as well.
Which is an interesting choice if there are multiple people out for 'lead' each with their own agenda of who they'd want as vice captains etc.
Some people may say 'the next closest votes = automatic vice; other captains may just go full dictator mode.

I think MeanMike is still best but I guess it’s good you are multifaceted.
The biggest benefit is the networking that happens. You get to know people from various factions and find out who you gel with. Maybe you don’t use that information to move factions, but maybe you do. Maybe you befriend someone who remembers your work ethic in the elimination and reaches out to employ you in a desired company. You can’t impress people if you don’t work with them.
The tips and tricks you learn are also valuable. Join and find out. Yeah maybe you will get hit a lot. Maybe you will hit more than you get hit. It’s worth playing. Why else are we playing Torn for other than to battle every once in a while?

There are some people in this game that hate my guts, come at me all the time and whether they have an actual reason or not, in their minds, their disdain is real. I have a VERY short list of actual transgressions in this game, but even the idiots that hate me for no reason, actually hate me. Now to me, hating someone for real in this dumb game is something straight outta the Howling Mong Handbook. There are actual reasons to dislike people, but to declare a jihad on someone because "They are pretty douchey on the forums" is just fuckin dumb.
If I had to guess, I'd wager these people cant fight IRL, have shit jobs, and no real standing and this is as close as they will ever get to actually showing aggression to anyone, because everyone is a bad ass on the internet. Even pussies like Hamr.
Then ya got the other half, and thats guys like Nightwing, and that really mad guy in SA that writes a short novel everytime I post anything, that have never spoken to me or interacted with me in their life, they, as stupid as it sounds, just "hate for clout".
They have no real achievements in the game, their brand is weak, and very little karma. These folks need SOMETHING to give them validation. even if its just an upvote from someone that hates me for real. They feel like the best way to get their names out there or make some friends is to fabricate and loudly, constantly announce some mystery beef with players that already have made a name for themselves in the game. That type of laziness really annoys me, and thats why I am so brutal when I shit on these clowns. They dont have to help build the best team in the game from scratch and lead it for a decade, they dont have to start 2 game changing wars or even win Elims... they can just latch onto someone who HAS done that stuff and declare themselves as some sort of equal player in the game, just because they run their mouth to a player who has done things they never will.
They put themselves on that level without doing any of the work, and when I point that out, well, I'm being "arrogant" but lets be real.. can anyone name me anything Nightwing has done in this game that justifies his imaginary catapult to the level of renowned player in this game.No, people know him as the guy who talks shit to Mike.
