To fully answer, who knows wtf is going on in the back end.
Your age starts at zero days, which goes up every 24 hours at the exact time you created your account.
The merit counts consecutive REAL days.
You created the account before midnight so it counted that day, then when you were 1 day old you were already on day 2.
You have now crossed into another "new day" but have not yet reached the point you will show as being 99 days old later today.
So no, not a rollback, just how it works.
