TornCon: EU is returning this spring, and we are heading to Vienna, Austria, from March 19-21, 2027. Ticket sales commence on September 26th at midnight CET HERE.

For one glorious weekend, Torn’s criminals will be let loose in the former capital of the Habsburg Empire. Come for the schnitzel, stay because someone you once bountied has recognised your name badge and wants to discuss what you did in great detail.

Our traditional dinner event takes place on Friday, March 19th at the historic Melker Stiftskeller. Dating back to 1629, this famous cellar restaurant has spent centuries hosting guests beneath Vienna’s streets, and now it gets to host a room full of people used to spending long hours in darkened rooms. 

Tickets for this event cost €125, and here’s what you’ll get!

Photography will take place at TornCon, with images potentially used in the Torn newspaper and other event promotion; ticket purchase implies your consent. Torn is not liable for personal belongings brought to the event, so do not leave anything unattended unless you are happy for it to enter somebody else’s inventory.

  We've had TornCon during an island war one year (Las Vegas, NV, USA in 2023), and it was hilarious!

For my curiosity, why Vienna?

Well aware of that. Its great if you like opera and the arts, but generally its the polar opposite to say Amsterdam where they held it last time.

I'm sure you could find a hooker in Vienna as well. 

We always rotate around the US and will follow the same model for EU. We look for cities with several criteria including walkability/transportation, international travel, cost, etc. :)

Vienna might seem boring to outsiders, but hosting torncon here is actually a genius move. because where else could just a 100 torn players single-handedly double a whole capital’s crime rate?

Depends on the ticket cost, but I just might come.

I could make this event but comments like these make me want to spend my vacation time elsewhere.

Edit: I think people are misinterpreting my meaning. Calling the city boring rather than selling why its worth visiting. I'd be traveling from Canada - that ain't cheap. 

If a little comment made in jest is enough to turn you off from coming, it's probably safe to say TornCon might just not be your thing.  Have a good vacation wherever you end up!

I mean I've been to TornCon and TornCan. I mean it's sounding like the city itself doesn't have much to do. Buildings are beautiful but what else has it got going on? Tried to dig into things to do online and felt pretty flat.
