Late to the death party so will try (and likely fail) to be brief.
First off a huge thank you to the players who tirelessly grinded out push after push after push, never wavering even when we were clearly on the back claw. Huge props to keeping our scales in the game. You kept things light and enjoyable. I couldn't be prouder of the way you all carried yourselves.
We had all the makings of a successful team: a lazy, barely active overseer with an old account and "connections bro". An active front man to act as the overseer's fall guy if things go south. A tech guy who did tons of free labor and sniped the karma thread. A random noob who sniped the discord early then held it hostage for access and we just kept around even though no one understood him. A woman willing to be on voice a ton to explain elim to noobs and rally the incels. An active staff member who didn't fed the lazy overseer or any of his few remaining unfedded friends. Hordes of hyper active push callers who were always available to spam orders that they didn't understand. Finally a few annoying team trolls that turned off all dissenting voices from wanting to be associated with them.
Sorry we couldn't get it done with such an all star cast.
NGL, I was disappointed in the election result, but at least it mirrored real American elections. In each camp you had 2 absolute shit candidates, and the third parties were just trolls and scammers. People were very passionate about their camps despite obvious red flags. I didn't participate much in it because that was too much drama, and I'm a friendly guy. Plus it was wasted time that shoulda been spent organizing. But I very much appreciated the debate, especially my backers.
Anyway we quicky had to get shit together to navigate a difficult early game. In retrospect, starkiller was much better to navigate the competition devolving into a pixel mean girls simulator. I would have just got bored and kamikazed the team early and thrown the round into chaos. I absolutely hated seeing a 10v2, 8v2, 7v1, 6v1. Good thing we made a move to keep it interesting. Even though it didn't work out, staying the course was obviously a losing strategy. There were too many liars orchestrating the comp who would have removed us at about the same spot we ended in anyway. Better to go out having fun and playing to win than cowering waiting for your turn. Shout out to our allies in the end. You guys were real ones. We woulda been doomed fast if not for your help.
