Hi Everyone!
Can anyone remember any of the details of the World War competition from 2013?
I was surprised to see i only earned the first place merit for Apex winning Elimination this year, and when i went around hunting, i found i had earned all the other merits in 2013
Confused, because i do not remember ever enlisting in Elimination before this year, it turns out that i entered the World War competition, and the merits were recycled when replaced by Elimination. Newspaper articles only go back to around 2015, so im struggling to remember any real details.
is there a chance anyone remembers the top 3 finishers, how the competition worked, any other interesting details?
I am drawing a complete and total blank beyond remembering now that the competition exists. lol

These are some of the competitions that are no longer repeated annually.
Comic Strip Competition - Self explanatory. 2008 only.
Torn City Rocks Competition - People took photos with sign that said Torn City Rocks pre Mr/Ms Torn I believe. 2005 only.
Endurance Challenge - Series of missions mostly just making a lot of attacks for honor bars/merits.
World War (Now transformed into Elimination) - Big HOF fac families would join random country last minute to rig it and random countries like Lithuania or Kazakhstan would win. Elimination distributes teams more evenly by random and inter-faction. Maybe 2013/4 last year and elim did not start until 2018...
Torn of the Dead event - Zombies infected humans, humans had to stay on the run to survive the whole month to get an honor bar, zombies got honor bar for infecting X amount of humans.
Mr - Miss Torn - Torn men/women would post wildly inappropriate pictures and the closer to naked they were the more likely they were to win, eventually some creative types started winning, and then AI came and ruined the competition. 2008-2023 RIP random Torn Thots posting free boobie pics.
Dog Tags - Everyone started with dog tags where based on level was how many points it was. Your own dog tag was worth 5-10X, and staff dog tags had higher value too. Noobs had rusty ones for 1 point, level 100's had golds for 10 points. When you beat someone would randomly take a tag they held, whoever had highest score won.
Not on Wiki - Easter egg competition used to be counted annually on who had most eggs etc. IDK what prizes were etc as I was never looking that hard for them. Now it runs every year and supposedly you get a set a year that does not despawn, but the pages change or something.
Can see some old comps and winners on the fans page.
Just a correction. Elims started 2016, but back then you could choose team. I think 2018 was when it became randomized, after lumberjacks mountainmen and pink power were stacked too heavily the first couple years.

I was in Myanmar, I'm very sure there was a time we won.
I wish I had screen shots of that. I had to re-earn some of the Honor bars again. But i could be wrong.
I remember finishing first, and how all that I had earned back then was to be re-earned again through elimination.
Yeah Myanmar, we were in the same team back then that means, because i remember winning it already and getting ALL the Honor bars and merits.
Nope sorry, I can´t help you. Unfortunately I was not in torn 13 years ago yet.

I personally really liked the Zombie event.
I’ll spare everyone from my rant about how country flags shouldn’t be name/merit banners because WW is dead, but know that it’s locked and fucking loaded.
Oh and I want my fucking dogs back.
