There is - it is a combination of how all of the systems come together.

In higher ranked wars, you need more score lead. To get to that higher score lead, you need more hits. To get more hits, you need more targets. It would be literal hell to try and farm an 18k lead score against IB, even for a faction like Monarch or NS it would be tedious at best.

Only way to do this is to create multiple leagues based on fac size, and water down the rewards for smaller fac size leagues to discourage cache farming

Run-Riot [1713552]

Step in the right direction but Diamond should really only be the top 50 or so factions... and even that is pretty lenient if we're striving to make ranks actually means something.

No its not. Its detrimental to your income and fighting perfomance if you purposefully stay in Plat 3 by being <75 members.

In the way that Jux is set up, this is true. In a highly efficient and smaller group of capable warrers it would still be beneficial to stay in plat 3. Any faction with 53 members or lass cannot match any diamond faction. Even less if you account for the fact that exceedingly few diamond factors have less than 85 or members, which would increase the limit to 63.

By staying at Plat 3 they can get good rewards against a ton of factions who have no business fighting against them and who wouldn't even get sufficient rewards if they did beat them.

The meta has shifted from 74 members being the most optimal player count in plat, to a lower number being the most optimal. That is all.

Yes, it is silly as long as we have one rank and one ranking table for both <75 and >75. Because Plat 3 is Diamond 3 for <75 basically.

On this, we agree. Having similar caps throughout the ranks would fix the strategy I describe above.

Yes, and only if this means everyone have a shot at it.

Or did you mean only factions with 75 members deserves a chance to fight for a Diamond spot?

themainman [1629262]

Honestly should be member restrictions for all ranks

Diamond 75+

Plat 50+

Gold 25+

Silver 10+

Higher your tier the bigger the war should be. Shouldn't be seeing wars where its someone with 60 members fighting someone with 25 just makes the system look like a joke

Credit to d3vl and others who have been able to abuse it in such a way for so long but if we're trying to make it so wars are competitive at all levels I think more caps are needed

Yea I have no problem with removing them member number rules on both ranks and matchmaking personally, though I do think there would need to some balancing tweaks with regards to target score. I think the target scores are too high for full factions and too low for smaller factions.

I believe in with standardising the score target at ~10k lead in conjunction with removing the member number rules we could start too see where factions really stack up in terms of power.

But ultimately, yes, if faction X can beat faction Y in a ranked war I believe they should be higher ranked if they prove that in war. Factions should be able to construct their rosters however they want to as long as the drawbacks are balanced appropriately.

I was thinking top 2%.

Would be neat if there was a weekly "undisputed champion" faction that had weekly contenders who were chosen by the system out of the top diamond pool.

Every day you spend in the undisputed champion faction, you get +1 to a badge in your profile.

Would be cool to see the player with the highest badge after 500 days. Would that player be Monarch? NS 2? CR? Khaos? 39th X?

You don't rank war and we are not a cache farm.  This is a long standing faction that I joined a couple months ago.  Just because we don't bring in 100 noobs doesn't make it a cache farm.  We have lost 5/6 wars since the new setup and haven't ranked down so since you don't rank war please explain how to rank down

IndyCision [2597200]

The lowest member count a 60 faction can match up with is 48

(Unless they have 29 people in RIP status meaning they are only REALLY a 31 member faction and not 60...)

ChillySpunc [1905415]

I don't do RWs because it's not a fun system. And your faction is not long standing, it was clearly set up purely to be a cache farm.

If you want to rank down simply don't enlist for a couple months but your faction won't don't that because it's a cache farm.

IndyCision [2597200]

You don't lose ranks by not warring any more (after 6 weeks you just get removed from the pool. and when you re-enlist after that you have the same rank you would have had if you had enlisted without waiting)

ChillySpunc [1905415]

"If a faction does not compete in a ranked war for around six weeks, they will be unranked outright, with a warning a week beforehand. Re-enlisting will cause the faction to be re-assigned a rank at matchmaking time."

So the faction will just be reassigned the previous rank they had, no decay at all? No wonder we have dog shit factions sitting in diamond and plat farming loot they don't deserve.

Odin-All-Father [2010524]

yes, it’s the smaller factions loot that’s the problem, all those small facs getting 3-5 caches weekly compared to 100 diamond factions getting 30-50 caches weekly.

Okay so back to the main post..

Who's got the good stuff? 😉

I know someone has some juicy information to share, id like to know who's going up / who's going down and all the in-between 👀

I'm sure we are all interested in seeing some information / graphs 👀
