They'd likely just say "Our goal was for him to spend HW without perks" or something and leave it there. TNL doesn't seem real interested in backing down though, so we might get some fireworks. Or just a called bluff.

was nemesis giving him his balance and then mugging after it or was he just mugging randomly like what goes on there cause it was his most successful unassuming inside knowledge was used and not actual skill? Either way still fucking dumb and wild to do
Crazy announcing that you plan to fuck with the most beloved attacking event over something like this. Why not just use the event to have your factions attack the individual instead? Nah let’s limit travel for all of torn and cause additional random causalities potentially pissing people off. They won’t blame the ones who dropped the DB would they……. 🙄

- TLDR is The Drunk Tank leadership are a bunch of retards dropping empty threats without considering the consequences.
- One of their leadership, Nemesis, mugged their own member for hundreds of millions and none of the leadership, except Farcough, saw it as an issue.
- Nemesis started harassing Farcough for bringing it up.
- Farcough left and ordered a permahosp contract on TDT
- TDT is threatening TNL family (4 factions) to drop a DB on them if Farcough is in the faction during Halloween
- Someone from TDT (likely Nemesis) sent me an "anon" message further escalating, not realizing issuing threats to a faction family doing multiple 50k - 100k chains and having a history of raids before halloween is not the smartest idea...

I’m part of TDT leadership, so obviously I have a connection to the people being discussed. But I’d like to add something to the “toxic faction” comments.
The friendships and enjoyment people get from being here are real too. That doesn’t answer every criticism of how this dispute was handled, but it matters when people start describing the entire faction and its leadership.
Even in the screenshots, you can see leaders disagreeing and repeatedly arguing that being annoying wasn’t a reason to kick someone, despite their personal frustration with him. That’s also part of the picture.
Nobody has to agree with every decision here. I just think there’s a difference between “I disagree with how you handled this” and “your whole community is toxic.” The first is something we can discuss. The second speaks for a lot of members whose experience is very different.

Forgetting dropping a DB at Halloween will cause countless lost stacks, ruined stats for the event, shut shops for people buying baskets their first year and potentially shut the airport when NPC’s are summoned….. Essentially making themselves the most hated faction in torn

Not just the targeted faction either… the random casualties, the closed shops so noobs can’t get their baskets, the closed airports so no one can attack the NPCs.

Jesus. Late to the party but here’s my two cents..
I was with Farc for Elims. Personally, for about 90% of it, I liked him. He’s abrasive and comes off very fucking strong, but he was fine and he genuinely seemed to care about the good of the team.
I have to imagine in a faction he’s spent years in, that investment in “the good of the team” goes a lot further.
A relative newbie/lower stat player joined a faction, and was repeatedly mugged by a member of leaderships friend. Nem by admission doesn’t play much, and is in TDT because some friends are. Personally if I was trying to fit in somewhere, after seeing it being dismissed (I have to assume it was brought up somewhere in public after Nem was told to go for it) I’m not going to rock the boat and immediately ostracise myself.
If I’m reading right, eventually Farc said fuck it and left. Probably not an easy decision after such a large chunk of time spent in TDT but he was pushed to it, or seen the writing on the wall and went out on his own terms. Both are effectively the same.
After leaving, Nem couldn’t let it go and just kept poking. All those messages about Farc poking Nem, but can’t recognise it going the other way? Of course Farc fuckin snapped, he cared about TDTs members and a player mugging fac members replaced him.
Could Farc have handled it better? Probably yeah.
Could TDT have handled it better? Fucking definitely, that is a miserable response to everything. By your own words, you’re siding with someone that barely plays. Nem can be a dick if Nem wants, but Jesus Christ direct it to someone that isn’t in your faction.
Personally I’d assume the fact that people didn’t want to kick Farc, and weren’t willing to sign off on names being public, says that not everyone in leaderships as amused by the situation as you’d think. Fucking mess of a situation.
This will be my first Halloween and for many more, and thanks to this kindergarden drama we won't enjoy it to the fullest, I don't understand tbh.
The fact that this thread got posted at all says you have a serious problem in your leadership. Even now you are painting apparently the only person in your faction who had an issue with leadership mugging members as "annoying" and trying to reframe the debate to be about whether or not everyone wanted to kick him for that "annoying" tendency to...not want leadership to mug members. Whether or not you kicked him is not the piece that earned a nearly unanimous negative reaction from everyone who bothered to read the original post. It's that no-one there seems to think it's a bad idea to have your members mugging eachother.
And after all of that, your leadership apparently decided it was a good idea to post up a dirty bomb threat to every single faction in the game on the most cherished holiday in all of Torn over some merc hits dropped by a guy who hasn't even shown up to plea his case but is winning over the public purely because the argument and evidence put forth amounted to "Sure we mug our members, but this guy complains about it and it's really annoying."
So at this point your faction has loudly and publicly issued a threat to dirty bomb a large faction family, and they don't seem interested in bowing to it. So either you don't drop the bomb and your bluff is called, or you do drop the bomb and then you have to deal with whatever comes next.
