Dude, I can tell you, after seeing the amount of money I made in such a short time and already having the code, I have thought about going for Real Money a lot, but seperate from this (I don't wanna get banned). But the cost to set something like this up is astronomical, either mutiple 10k€ or multiple years of jail and I am not about that haha

Considering the game admins/staff have just finally reached the conclusion that these services were in breach of the RMT rule the whole time they were operating (some players worked this out already and were confused why these casinos were not already banned), it doesn't seem wise to continue trying to defend of justify them here, for those that are trying to do so.

 

This site has already been incredibly lenient in allowing these to operate unchecked for so long. Most other sites/games I can think of would have already permanently banned your account if they caught wind of you setting up a virtual casino that uses their game currency in exchange for credits to operate, even if they claimed those credits could only ever convert back into the game currency.

 

If I went to try this with something like OSRS gold for example, I would be banned, no doubt about it.

 

 

 

Operators will be INCREDIBLY lucky if the operation and gains from these services do not result in enforcement under the existing RMT rule. I assume you will luck out and they will not bother to enforce as they didn't really pick up on it for so long. But, I also wouldn't be surprised if they did go ahead and enforce the rule it breached the whole time.

I am sorry to inform you that this has been on their radar for a long time, I have wrote with bogie and PJ almost from the first day I opened my casino as I wanted to be in complete compliance from the very start.

 

So yeah, I am increadibly greatful that they have given me the chance to operate it for so long, but it is also completely understandable that, given the situation, they had to shut this down. By now there were about 20 Casinos and Discord servers and most of them were so ass that you couldn't even survive a day on them as they took more than 90% RTP and you could just see that they were made in about a day.

Will off site raffles still be banned then? 

 

And on or off site bookie parlays? 

 

Betting on non-public Torn statistics such as gym gains (faction leader API key only), or RR wins (personal API keys)?

Raffles are gambling, as is offsite parleys, so aye as per the ~20 responses bogie’s had to say, it would fall under offsite gambling

I know nobody is getting fedded because bogie doesn't want to admit he fucked up yet again allowing this nonsense for so long, but can we at least fed this piece of shit person?

 

In the ad listed as Pro: You can't self-exclude.

 

This is literally preying on gambling addicts who can't control themselves. And the owner made probably well over 100b from it.

I'm specifically referring to the switch to considering gambling services RMT (the service is the product being provided). I am making a distinction here that staff may not be making, in that with raffles you're doing a group buy of a Torn item with Torn cash, with one winner, vs paying for a service to be provided off site. There's no interaction on a raffle beyond entering it - it's hard to argue a raffle is a service. But I do also see the pitfalls that could come from allowing it, such as only allowing people who have played a chess game and won on your discord - making it in effect off site gambling. 

 

Second one I'm asking if there's a distinction between parlays and bookie insurance I guess? Just for full clarity. 

 

The last one has not been adddressed at all even tho Pawl asked it twice.

Ive never visiited one of these sites so I dont know what they look like but if they look well designed, why doesnt torn temp contract some of these coders to put their designs and coding xp to use?

 

I cant wait to Isee torn get parleys in a updated system

 

On topic, probaby best to ban the 3rd party casinos

They are (from the ones I have seen when digging into them) either purchased premade sites, or vibecoded. There is no/minimal actual work going into the majority of them. Can't speak to every last one of them, but if its the path Torn wants to go down, I'd recommend getting a Claude Code sub.
